Larkhall's new leisure centre construction work commences in August this year. However, current proposals do not include a large games hall meaning it will be a downgrade on the current centre.

The new leisure centre is an investment in the health and wellbeing of Larkhall for generations to come - we must have a fully resourced and fit for purpose facility. This is especially crucial as the population of the town continues to grow with new housebuilding.

Larkhall Plan Partnership is a collaboration of charities, voluntary groups and community voices who have campaigned passionately over the past few years for our leisure centre. Larkhall Community Council in particular have played a huge role.

Since 2018 we have engaged with Councillors, politicians and Council officials; we have carried out petitions, surveys, public meetings and we know Larkhall communities feel strongly about this issue.
