Markham, a rapidly growing and diverse city in Ontario, Canada, is home to a vibrant Muslim community that is in desperate need of a dedicated space for worship and community gatherings. Despite the increasing Muslim population, there is a significant lack of mosques in the area to serve this community's spiritual and social needs.

Currently, Milliken Muslim residents in Markham leasing  Church for Friday Prayer , and some times annual Eid Prayer held in outdoor in soccer filed in rain and cold.  Many have to travel several kilometers to access the nearest masjid, which is not only inconvenient but also limits their ability to actively participate in communal five times prayers and religious events. This situation poses a challenge to community cohesion and undermines the cultural vibrancy of the city.

Having a local masjid in Markham would provide numerous benefits. It would serve as a center for spiritual growth, community support, and cultural exchange. Additionally, it would offer educational programs for children and adults, support services for families, and a platform for interfaith dialogue, enriching the overall community fabric.

We call upon city planners and local government officials to recognize the pressing need for a masjid in Markham. By allocating land or providing assistance for the construction of a mosque, the city would take a commendable step towards inclusivity and recognition of its diverse population.
