Build a high speed train corridor between Provo and Denver

The Issue

The Amtrak California Zephyr is the only train route between Provo and Denver. As someone who frequently travels between these two cities, I know firsthand how limited our options are. A high-speed rail corridor would not only provide a faster, more efficient mode of transportation but also reduce traffic congestion and lower carbon emissions. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, high-speed rail can significantly cut travel times and promote economic growth in connected regions (source: USDOT). Please sign this petition to support the development of a high-speed rail corridor that will benefit both Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado residents!

Taking a trip from LA to Las Vegas may only take an hour by airplane, but the increased security, long waiting times and other hassles associated with air travel have seen numerous proposals for a high-speed rail link between the two cities floated over the years. However, government funding shortages and volatile economic markets have generally proven to be the bane of these projects.

The project is expected to spur vital new economic growth and tourism development across the region as well as drive significant job creation. Brightline West believes construction on the network can be completed in 2028, in time for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles
