The Amtrak California Zephyr is the only train route between Provo and Denver. As someone who frequently travels between these two cities, I know firsthand how limited our options are. A high-speed rail corridor would not only provide a faster, more efficient mode of transportation but also reduce traffic congestion and lower carbon emissions. Taking a trip from LA to Las Vegas may only take an hour by airplane, but the increased security, long waiting times and other hassles associated with air travel have seen numerous proposals for a high-speed rail link between the two cities floated over the years.
