Our charter begins with the words “Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of GOD and the rule of law.”  Canada’s Christian heritage is forever enshrined in one of our most important documents.  The very idea of a charter of rights is derived from the Magna Carta which has Christian foundations as well. 

These days, you wouldn’t know that Christianity is a foundational part of Canada’s culture. Repeatedly legislative attacks like widespread access to abortion, legalized gay marriage, hate speech laws like bill C-9, have done their part to weaken Christian influence. Perhaps worst of all, due to mass migration, Canada is home to 4 50+ foot tall statues of Hindu deities. 

The Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio Di Janeiro is 125 feet tall. Let’s send a message to the rest of the country, and build a monument to our lord and saviour that is worthy of his glory.
