The aim of the Global Student Union is to become an umbrella student organization promoting cross-cultural understanding and international life by programming activities, sponsoring and supporting its members, and advocating for international needs on campus. The organization is centralized on uniting different cultural groups in order to gain support and resources for the wider international community. While we already have specific cultural organizations on campus, the Global Student Union will generate a united front movement. The issues and ideas addressed will be gathered from a retrospective view but will be analyzed through intersectional identities. 

The key initiatives of the organizations will be:

• To advocate for international student rights, needs, and representation
• To bring a global perspective to the campus to better represent the diverse campus community
• To address the need for support, academic programs, and networking within the international community
