This morning there has been another accident on the A413, closing the road in both directions.

In response to our petition, the local Councillors have written a fairly vague report, reflecting the previous consultation of the speed limit in 2008 and acknowledging the support of the change by local residents.

In the report, Buckinghamshire Council has also informed us that they will not provide funding for the next stages - to conduct a formal assessment of the speed limit change. Funding requests now sit with the Parish Council and the Community Board for approval. This is frustrating as we keep getting pushed from pillar to post on this and there is no clear route to action being taken in the complexity and bureaucracy of local government

I have also been trying to reach out to our newly elected MP Sarah Green to support with this - given her campaign around focusing on local issues. However, despite several follow-ups, I have not had a response to any of my emails or attempts to contact.

I implore this group to continue to put pressure on their local Councillors and our MP to support this change. Ultimately, they work for us and should take action based on the will of local residents.
