A significant amount of students in their third year of university are worried about Covid-19 and its impacts and amongst these anxieties some are taking the precaution to self-isolate themselves during these turbulent times.

This has also resulted in limiting our access to resources and staff to support and guide us on the dissertation.

We also have to hand in a hard copy of our dissertation, which will be difficult to do when a large percentage of students all have to go in at the same time. Furthermore, due to the cancellation of lectures, International students are returning home.

The adjustment to the online classes and the confusion surrounding upcoming exams, has caused everyone worry and a lot of stress and panic. Some universities have taken the initiative to extend the deadlines due to the circumstances.

There is also the lack of having the advantage of extenuating circumstances, which puts other students at a disadvantage and thus would be fair if there was an extension provided for all the students. 

There is a high percentage of students who also have to work, look after their families, and have other illnesses that are struggling to manage and it would be best to give them more time to be able to work and provide their best work.

We would like Brunel to extend the dissertation deadline ,so that we have more time to be able to work more effectively and to be in a better position to write our dissertations to the best of our abilities.
