It is obvious from the strength of support shown to the Save Lowewood Museum campaign that there are a lot of people in the Borough that care about the future of the Museum. Perhaps many of them did not realise how much they cared until the Council announced they were closing it! Sometimes it takes a threat like this to remind you that there is an old friend standing there who you should have visited more often and now needs your help.

So Broxbourne Borough Councillors if it really is just about finance why not talk to us the people of the Borough, the voters who elected you. The people who entrusted you to represent us, to represent our views at council meetings and to lead local campaigns on our behalf. The people of the Borough have reached out to you and sadly some of you have not deemed to even acknowledge their letters or emails. You say that you asked the Friends of Lowewood Museum to run the Museum voluntarily and they said no. Was it fair, or reasonable to ask a small group of people to take on such a task without the mention of providing expert help to lead them, or that there would be finance available to them to for exhibitions and school outreach projects.

Can you not see that now The Friends of Lowewood Museum have the support of a number of other Borough based groups, if we all worked together there are ways that the future of Lowewood Museum could be secured, assuming that it is all just a matter of finance of course!

LET’S LOSE THE NEGATIVITY AND WORK TOWARDS A POSITIVE FUTURE FOR LOWEWOOD MUSEUM.
