Dear Bromley Council, As you prepare for the examination in public of Bromley's local plan I wonder if you would kindly consider reappraising Lanniston's proposal for a local lead housing scheme with community benefit on this singular detached field on Scrubs farm. The land has previously met the need for housing twice before in it's past history with road frontage encroachment for both private and social housing. Coupled with the changes that have taken place surrounding this field including the new and now expanding schools next door make our argument for housing allocation very strong indeed. The Green Belt boundary would be more appropriate in the position that we have previously demonstrated since the council created public amenity space at Richmal Crompton Fields. We have to date formed a consortium of local builders and developers who have become partners in our endeavour to deliver quality housing stock and a new BYMT music school for the borough. By employing local companies with a vested interest in reputation and leaving a lasting legacy only quality deign and build will take place with schemes also allocated for self builders and custom build. We are all aware of the deficiency in Bromley's five year housing land supply. We would much rather engage with officers and members than relying on the planning inspectorate with costly appeals for all. It is disappointing that the lack of engagement from the council from both officers and members when proposals like this are put forward by a local company. We would welcome a round the table discussion your members and officers as well as our development partners to see if we can work towards meeting some of the housing need for the borough over the coming years.
