As you may or may not know the 7th of July marks 1000 days since the men were arrested. That is 1000 days too many that innocent men have had to have their Lives torn apart and survive a living hell. WE NEED YOUR HELP So many of you have shown support and now I'm asking you again to take 5 minutes from your time, and write to your MP asking them to attend out parliamentary Lobby on July 7th. LETS GET OUR VETERANS HOME Dear Many of you will be familiar with the case of the Chennai 6. 6 British Veterans who are in prison in India, where they have been sentenced to five years hard labour for possession of illegal firearms. In reality they are not criminals. These men are highly trained individuals protecting merchant seafarers and vessels from the terrors of piracy at sea. They have devoted their lives protecting others both in the British Army and as Maritime security officers, putting their lives on the line for others. The families of the men are very anxious that this case does not fall off the radar of the UK Government, and they have arranged to lobby Parliament, and to deliver a letter and petition with over 350’000 signatures to 10 Downing Street urging the Prime Minister to use all diplomatic channels available to secure their release. Please find attached an invitation to attend the lobbying event, where there is the opportunity to meet the families and hear their stories, as well as hearing from the constituency MPs of some of the men. As a constituent of yours who is deeply worried about this miscarriage of Justice I would be grateful if you could attend and to show your support for the families in their efforts to secure the release of these Veterans.
