Dear Friends, Thank you all so incredibly much for joining our last E-Mail action asking the Californian Coastal Commission to not grant SeaWorld the permission for their orca tank expansion - the Blue World Project. The coastal commission has received around 50,000 E-Mails and letters. Thanks to all of you getting involved, THE MAJORITY of these are AGAINST the Blue World Project! That means more than 25,000 E-Mails and letters asked the coastal commission to reject SeaWorld's application! The hearing was postponed until October to deal with the amount of (negative) feedback sent in. That's a fantastic effort everyone and goes to show that our voices are heard! We don't know yet what the coastal commission will decide but the very fact that the decision is delayed for 2 months halts SeaWorld's plans! And rejection of those plans now seems more possible than before! Thank you again so much for raising awareness for captive orcas and taking action against SeaWorld!
