To all our fantastic supporters, we really need your help once again this weekend!!!

⏰ Many of you will have seen that the developer Landrose has submitted revised plans. The deadline for responses to the further revised plans is 16 NOVEMBER (next Thursday), so please don't delay in voicing your concerns. ⏰ 

The amended plans show:

 • NO meaningful changes to the density of the proposed HMO/flats/bedsits.

• NO changes to the quality of the proposed HMO/flats/bedsits on first floor level and above.

• REARRANGEMENT of the proposed HMO/flats/bedsits on ground floor level.

• NO changes to the lack of parking provision.

• NO changes to the illustration of a “boutique cinema”.

• SLIGHT EXPANSION to the space allocated for commercial use - in these drawings this is illustrated as a slightly larger bar and kitchen area but this would be for whoever rents the space to decide for their own purposes.

• SLIGHT BETTERMENT of the commercial space in terms of commercial bin storage.

Please keep in mind that this planning application is for “change of use” from the existing commercial use to mixed commercial AND residential. Once granted there will be nothing to stop the commercial space being used for whatever business paid the highest rent to Landrose.


�We are asking you all to please consider adding an extra note to your objections, in response to the revisions. We think you'll agree, they do not change what we object to about the development significantly at all.�


It won't take you very long and will add strength to our cause, demonstrating to Bristol City Council planning department that we remain firmly opposed to Landrose's plans.

If you need a bit of assistance, we've prepared the following as a template. As ever with these things, please put in your own words and add your own thoughts as much as you can. 

"I am writing to object to the further revised plans submitted on 2nd November 2023 for the application 22/06037/F. As per my previous objection/s I only see marginal changes in these revised plans for a planning application that still fails the basic requirements needed for development in this area of Bristol. My objections still stand and the changes proposed do not remedy these points. Please see my objection to the original plans for additional detail in regard to this objection."
