Interlake students need more Health CTE options as current classes are filled to capacity. We need the BSD School Board to increase opportunities and access to Interlake students, as a large majority of the student body is interested in these classes. It is also inequitable that other schools in our district have these offerings to students while Interlake students are forced to do Running Start to take part in health-related coursework. Since Interlake has a wide array of business related classes it is time to expand the health related courses as well. Additionally, trained staff are available and willing to teach these electives making it even more necessary to start offering these health related classes. Overall, Interlake students would like increased access to Health CTE classes to further their passions and education.
