SACAI. A educational board that also deals with NSC exams under Umalusi have continued to not reward students marks they earned over the past decade (2015-Now) the reason this is being done is so students are forced to pay to either rewrite or remark.

Rechecking: R275 × 2 scripts = R550

Remarking R614 × 2 scripts = R1,228

Suppose all 3,942 affected learners were to pursue rechecks and remarks for at least a single subject. The financial implications are staggering: R1,778 per subject × 3,942 learners = R7,007,076.

This isn't right students and parents on Hellopeter have voiced they're concerns but Umalusi has done NOTHING.

Almost all of the students marks dropped drastically. Especially for History English Biology and Business.

Learners reported dropping from 90s to 30s

Ieb and DBE both had amazing pass rates... dbe even receiving the highest pass rate they've EVER had.

So our demands as the class of 2024:

A Remarking phase for students who were affected in the respective subjects.

The Remarking phase be done without payment.

Umalusi and The Government doing a thorough investigation.
