That could work really well as a Minecraft: Story Mode (MCSM) prequel series. You could center it on two eras:

The Order of the Stone: adventures of Gabriel, Ellegaard, Magnus, Soren, and Ivor before Jesse's story, showing how they became legends and what really happened between them.
Jesse's friends: younger versions of Petra, Lukas, Axel, and Olivia, showing their lives and relationships before the Wither Storm.

I think MCSM should get a reboot with a completely new cast of characters and a fresh story. The reboot could introduce new personalities, new adventures, and new conflicts while keeping the same Minecraft-inspired world and humor that made the original special. This would give the series a chance to explore new ideas and characters while still feeling like MCSM.
