Bring Woody's Coffee Box back to the Polo Pitches
The Issue
Since 2021, Woody’s Coffee Box has been a beloved fixture at the Polo Pitches, providing amazing barista coffee & homemade bakes and cakes to the local community to families, dog walkers, polo spectators, and countless others who frequent the area. For many, our weekend service became a cherished routine, offering not just beverages, but also a place where friendships were forged and community spirit thrived. We've built a legacy over the years, bringing warmth and smiles, even on the coldest Sundays.
Unfortunately, due to the opening of a new café on-site, we had to contend with reducing our presence & committed to Weyhill Car Boot, during the Mar - Sep. And asked to be allowed to return Oct —March on Sundays only due to popular demand & support from the locals, we've been informed that Woody’s Coffee Box is no longer needed at the Polo Pitches.
This sudden exclusion is a heavy blow, not only to our dedicated team but to the hundreds who look forward to their Sunday coffee and companionship with us. Woody’s Coffee Box is not just another food truck; it’s a small but significant part of the Polo Pitches experience, a service woven into the social fabric of this community.
While appreciating the new developments, we believe that there is room for both ventures. The local community would benefit from a diverse range of options, which could coexist harmoniously. This variety enhances the experience at the Polo Pitches, attracting more visitors and enlivening events there.
Restoring Woody's Coffee Box to its rightful place on Sundays from October to March would ensure that the choice and warm atmosphere our patrons have come to love remains intact. It’s these little experiences that promote local happiness and draw visitors, benefiting everyone involved.
