We, the undersigned members of the University of Waterloo community, hereby petition for the establishment of a Wendy's fast-food restaurant on our campus, specifically in place of the existing Tim Hortons located in the Davis Centre Library. As students invested in the well-being and satisfaction of our campus community, we believe that introducing Wendy's will greatly enhance the variety and quality of dining options available to students, faculty, and staff.

While Tim Hortons has been a fixture on our campus for some time, we believe that the introduction of Wendy's will address several key concerns and provide numerous benefits to our community:

Diverse Menu Selection: Wendy's offers a wide array of menu items, including hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and sides, catering to a broader range of dietary preferences and cravings compared to the primarily coffee and baked goods focus of Tim Hortons.

Healthy Options: Wendy's has made significant strides in recent years to offer healthier menu choices, including salads, grilled chicken options, and customizable items. This addition would align with the university's commitment to promoting healthy living among its students, faculty, and staff.

Increased Competition: Introducing Wendy's would foster healthy competition among campus dining options, encouraging both Wendy's and other existing establishments to continually improve their offerings in terms of quality, variety, and affordability.
