One Year Later: Why This Petition Is Expanding

One year ago, you signed this petition because six young men across Ontario were missing, and silence was not an option. Since then, all six of the boys originally named have been located. We hold this moment with care — especially as we honour Alpachino Mignott, who was found deceased and laid to rest. His life mattered. What these outcomes revealed is not closure, but truth: the systems meant to protect children required sustained public pressure to respond, and that is not acceptable. This work did not end. It intensified.

Over the past year, new cases have emerged that confirm what many families already know — youth exploitation and disappearance do not stop at city or provincial borders. One of those cases is Jay’siiah Webb-Long, a 16-year-old from Brampton. His case is cross-provincial, involves the RCMP, and has seen serious developments that raise heightened concern. While not all details can be shared publicly at this time, silence does not mean inactivity. It means this work has entered a more complex and consequential phase.

As evidence has grown, so has our responsibility to respond appropriately. What began as a regional call for action has revealed itself to be a national public safety issue. Municipal and provincial responses alone are not sufficient when children are being groomed, coerced, and moved across jurisdictions. Federal leadership is now required — not because of frustration, but because the facts demand it.

None of this would be possible without you. You signed. You shared. You refused to let these cases fade into the background. Many of you have stayed engaged quietly for a full year, continuing to amplify names, stories, and calls for accountability. That consistency has mattered more than you know. This community has already made impact.

What makes this moment especially urgent is that children are still missing right now.

Community Alert: Our Boys Are Still Missing
These boys and teens from across the GTA are still missing. Their families are living in uncertainty. Time matters.

Please read their names. Keep your eyes open.

  • Kamal, 6 — Missing from Toronto since July 31, 2025
  • Joshua, 14 — Missing from Scarborough since November 20, 2025
  • Marcus, 15 — Missing from Toronto since October 29, 2025
  • Jay’siiah, 16 — Missing from Brampton since March 27, 2025
  • Deandre, 17 — Missing from Toronto since March 20, 2025
  • Tamilore, 18 — Missing from Rexdale since October 29, 2025
  • Tristen, 17 — Missing from Scarborough since November 22, 2025

These are not just names.
They are sons, brothers, students, and futures.

We are now at a critical moment. The next phase of this work requires broader visibility, national attention, and coordinated pressure at the federal level. What happens now matters — not just for one family or one province, but for children across Canada whose safety depends on timely action and accountability.

This petition is becoming more than a request. It is becoming a national record. We invite you to stay engaged, continue sharing, and understand why federal accountability is now essential. Expanding this petition strengthens our commitment to every child whose story led us to this moment. Children must come first. Families must be protected. And silence must never be allowed to stand in the way of safety.
