As of today, 16 March 2023, we have 5,000 signatures (and counting) on this petition to bring Steve Allen back to LBC, and lots of very heartfelt comments, all of which will be shown to the Global bosses when this petition is handed in.

This is a remarkable achievement by you all.

If nothing else, we are letting Steve know that we care - and we are letting Global know that we are not stupid, that we can see what's going on.

We had considered closing the petition once we got 5,000 people on board, but as people are still signing this every single day, I've decided that it's worth keeping it up for a while longer before presenting a final document to the Leicester Square suits.

So what's been happening since our last update?

Well, Steve went out shopping for tomatoes on Monday (13/3) - but he remains tight-lipped about the exact circumstances behind his departure. https://twitter.com/steveallenshow/status/1635280493305528322

And on Tuesday (14/3), a caller called Brendan was instantly censored when he tried to mention Steve Allen on-air to replacement LBC early breakfast host Ian Payne, during a discussion about the fallout from the Gary Lineker/BBC/MoTD controversy. As producers rushed to censor and dump Brendan (who was trying to pay tribute to Steve), Payne accused the BBC sports presenters who stood in solidarity with Lineker last weekend (by not turning up for work) of 'breaking their contracts' - apparently revealing what HE might make of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with your work colleagues.

All is explained in this new video, called Radio silence: Censoring Steve Allen on LBC: https://youtu.be/zoXR-PNhPR8

We hope that this latest twist in the tale will turbocharge the numbers signing. But if not, 5,000 signatures is a very solid protest that WILL register with Global's bean counters!

Thanks again for everything!
