Bring Starzam back to the DC Canon

The issue

In JSA Vol 1, Stargirl found out that Shazam is actually another teenager in the Justice Society, who is the same age as her (16). After some talking, they both shared a kiss, starting their relationship. Both Billy and Courtney officially began their love relationship. Although there’s one obvious problem. Since Billy and Courtney spend most of their time as superheroes – and since he looks like an adult as Captain Marvel, his flirting with Stargirl is seen as inappropriate by his teammates (who don’t know his true age). To be clear, Captain Marvel only dates Courtney as Billy Batson who prefers his teenage identity. However, eventually Jay Garrick (the original Flash) expresses his concerns to Captain Marvel. While tempted to reveal the truth of his secret identity to the others, Captain Marvel finds his Wisdom of Solomon prevents him from doing so. Unable to see another option, Captain Marvel flies to Courtney’s window and tells her he’s leaving the Justice Society. Although Courtney begs him to switch back to Billy Batson so he won’t be influenced by the gods empowering him, Captain Marvel flies away, breaking up with Courtney before their relationship can become a scandal. Years later, however, Billy loses his powers and admits his true identity to the Justice Society of America, acknowledging to Stargirl that their relationship may have worked out if he’d been honest earlier. Billy and Courtney manage to reconnect, but before their relationship can go anywhere, New Earth was rebooted into New 52, and since than, the ship was never touched again.

Despite the ship's minimum representation in the DC Universe, Starzam has received a cult following, and grew to be one of the most popular ships for both characters, consisting of several fanarts and a fair share of fanfics. So if DC were to make this ship canon again in the near future, a lot of fans would be happy.
