Bring Serenity Back to Inniswood

Bring Serenity Back to Inniswood

The Issue

If you live in the Inniswood Metro Gardens area or visit Inniswood, you may have noticed the loud, bass-heavy music that plays 4 to 7 hours most Sundays throughout the late spring and summer. This is coming from a privately-owned shelter just south of the Chipmunk Trail (1050 Colony Dr, Westerville). If the loud music has made it difficult for you to enjoy Inniswood or your home, please take the time to sign this petition.

The shelter is owned by the Ohio School For the Deaf Alumni Association (OSDAA); however, the events being held are NOT intended for Ohio School for the Deaf students or their alumni. This was confirmed by the staff of the alumni association. The shelter is rented out to the public who take advantage of the owner’s minimal oversight. Most weekends, large speakers are brought in and excessively loud music is played throughout the afternoon, evening, and often into the city’s quiet hours.

By signing this petition you are requesting OSDAA cease the playing of loud music, bringing serenity back to the Inniswood Metro Gardens area.

May we gather and celebrate, AND respect our neighbors.
