As a nation, we have moved past the point of the internet being a privilege or a want; it is necessary for life in the day and age of covid-19. Our nation's families have been forced to school their children from home; they are forced to order food and groceries from home. Many hard-working Americans have even been forced to work from home.

These tasks are impossible without reliable internet services.
Many households in Calcasieu Parish remain without cable, phone, and internet service, two months after Hurricane Laura. Suddenlink has failed our Parish, failed our communities, and failed our great state.

Therefore, we, the citizens of the State of Louisiana and Calcasieu Parish, respectfully petition our elected government to work on our behalf to bring a reliable provider of the services mentioned above to our area to betterment it's citizens.
