Bring Ranked ARAM to League of Legends

Bring Ranked ARAM to League of Legends
The Issue
Dear League of Legends players,
Whether you’re a long-time Summoner or someone who enjoys the chaos of the Howling Abyss, this petition is a call for something many of us have wanted for years: a true Ranked ARAM mode.
ARAM has become one of the most popular game modes in League of Legends. It’s fast, fun, unpredictable, and accessible to players of all skill levels. It’s the perfect place to warm up, relax, or enjoy League without the pressure and toxicity often found in Summoner’s Rift. However, ARAM has grown far beyond being “just for fun.” The community has developed its own meta, strategies, teamplay expectations, and clearly noticeable skill differences. For many players, ARAM is their main mode—and yet, it lacks the competitive progression that keeps League engaging and rewarding.
Why Ranked ARAM?
1. Fair Competitive Progression
Right now, ARAM players have no meaningful long-term ranking system that reflects their improvement, skill, or experience. Introducing Ranked ARAM would give dedicated players a fair way to measure their progress and compete with others at their level—just like Summoner’s Rift and TFT players already can.
2. Reduced Smurfing and Matchmaking Issues
Because ARAM has no ranked system, matchmaking can often feel inconsistent. New players get matched with experienced ones, while smurfs and high-rank SR players can disrupt balance. A ranked ladder would naturally place players closer to their real skill level, improving match quality for everyone.
3. Motivation to Improve and Play More
Progression systems drive engagement. Ranked rewards, milestones, and visible skill tiers would give ARAM mains something to work toward—not just random arcade-style games. This would keep the mode fresh and exciting for millions of players.
4. Recognition for ARAM Mains
Many players prefer ARAM over Summoner’s Rift. They’ve mastered teamfights, poke wars, and chaotic late-game skirmishes on the bridge, yet they remain unrecognized in the current ranked ecosystem. Ranked ARAM would finally give these players the acknowledgement they deserve.
5. Riot Already Supports ARAM with Balancing
ARAM receives regular balance updates, champion nerfs and buffs, and unique gameplay adjustments. This shows that Riot already views ARAM as a serious mode—so creating a ranked environment is the next logical step.
6. Community Demand Is Bigger Than Ever
Across Reddit, Discord, YouTube, TikTok, and in-game conversations, players repeatedly ask for one thing:
A competitive version of the mode they love.
A Ranked ARAM system would answer that long-standing community request.
What We’re Asking For
We are asking Riot Games to consider implementing:
A ranked ladder specifically for ARAM
A visible ranking system with tiers and LP
Seasonal resets and seasonal rewards
Matchmaking based on ARAM-specific MMR
Optional queue (just like Ranked SR vs. Normal SR)
This would allow players to enjoy ARAM exactly as they already do—but with the added excitement of competitive progression.
Our Goal
To show Riot Games that the community wants Ranked ARAM—not as a replacement for the casual mode, but as an optional, rewarding, and competitive addition that reflects the growth of one of the game’s most beloved queues.
If you believe ARAM deserves its own ranked system…
If you want fairer matches, clearer progression, and recognition for your skill…
If you’re ready to take the Howling Abyss to the next level…
Then please sign this petition and share it with your friends.
Let’s show Riot that the community is ready for Ranked ARAM.
