When I tune into the IPL and check the audio settings, I see options for Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Bengali, Haryanvi, Gujarati, and practically every other major regional language. But where is the Marwadi commentary? It just feels a bit unfair to see our language left out, especially when we have a massive cricket-loving crowd right here in Jodhpur and across all of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan is known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions. Cricket, too, is more than just a sport here – it’s a passion that binds us all together. For the millions of Marwadi-speaking IPL fans, having commentary in our own language would not only enhance our viewing experience but also acknowledge and celebrate our cultural identity.

Marwadi is more than a dialect; it’s an integral part of who we are. By including Marwadi commentary in the IPL, the voices of millions will finally be heard, adding a distinct flavor to one of the world's most exciting cricket leagues.

Being overlooked in something as significant as IPL commentary marginalizes our language and diminishes the experience for vast numbers of fans. We urge the broadcasting companies and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to recognize the importance of Marwadi commentary and work towards making it available for the coming seasons.

Other regional languages have seen inclusivity and representation. It’s now time for Marwadi to join the ranks, share in the celebration, and get the fair representation it deserves on this grand stage.
