Personal statement from Chris Garcia: "Today marks two weeks of enduring this heartbreaking situation, two weeks without my Nala-girl after spending over two years together, two weeks of fighting to get her home. I know how I am feeling and it breaks my heart to think of how she is feeling and how confused she is wondering where I am and if and when I am coming back for her. I know how stressed she would get just being boarded for a weekend (tried to avoid having her boarded as much as possible because of this), and how excited we were to see each other when I picked her up. This is cruel to both of us, yet there is still a simple fix. I am still standing strong in my faith that this will be made right, the department can still make the right choice and let  Nala come back to her home with me where she belongs. Whether that be via adoption or purchasing her, I remain ready and willing to do either one!

Also I want to say a huge thank you to each and every person out there that is fighting this fight alongside us and helping amplify our voice and shed light on this situation, I appreciate it very much!
