On 7 July 2026, K2 Airways Flight 1732 tragically crashed into the Arabian Sea, claiming the lives of all five crew members on board. Weeks later, the aircraft and its flight recorders remain unrecovered, leaving families waiting for answers and prolonging uncertainty.

During this time, K2 Airways Chief Executive Officer Mr. Tariq Majeed Raja has remained outside Pakistan. Despite the magnitude of this tragedy, the families have not experienced any meaningful engagement or communication from the airline's senior leadership. As the airline's highest executive, his presence and cooperation are essential to demonstrating transparency, supporting the relevant authorities, and helping restore public confidence.

The families believe that no individual occupying the highest leadership position within an airline should remain outside the country or beyond the reach of the official process following a tragedy of this scale. Leadership carries responsibility, and with that responsibility comes a duty to cooperate openly, engage with the affected families, and assist the competent authorities in every possible way.

We respectfully call upon the Government of Pakistan to take all lawful diplomatic and legal measures necessary to secure the return of Mr. Tariq Majeed Raja to Pakistan, ensuring that he is available to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities and any official proceedings arising from this tragedy. We also urge the Government to continue prioritising the deep-sea search and recovery of the aircraft, including the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), so that the facts can be established through the best available evidence.

It is a call for transparency, meaningful engagement with the families, full cooperation by all relevant parties, and a commitment to ensuring that every reasonable effort is made to establish the truth.
