I'm deeply rooted in the Michigan fitness community and am passionate about the growth and development of fitness opportunities for individuals throughout the Midwest. I have watched as Hyrox events have taken place in various parts of the country, creating life-changing experiences for participants, and yet, Michigan has been left off the map. We need a Hyrox event in either Detroit or Ann Arbor to extend these opportunities closer to home.

Hyrox, known as the world series of fitness racing, provides a unique blend of running and functional fitness competitions that bring together athletes of all levels. These events challenge participants to push their limits, fostering community spirit and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Currently, numerous participants from the Midwest have to invest significant time and resources traveling to distant locations, often out of reach for those who have weekend obligations. By bringing a Hyrox event to Detroit or Ann Arbor, we would enable easier access for not just Michiganders but also folks from neighboring states that make up the Midwest.

Detroit and Ann Arbor are not only strategic locations due to their connectivity and accessibility to the broader Midwestern population but also host vibrant fitness communities ready to embrace such an event. Detroit's rich history in pulling off large-scale sporting events and Ann Arbor's youthful energy make them ideal candidates for a successful Hyrox gathering. We have large convention centers and sport stadiums/arenas that would easily host the crowd sizes usually seen.

Hosting a Hyrox event in Michigan would resonate with the region's increasing health-consciousness and desire for community-driven activities. It would also offer an economic boost with people traveling from neighboring areas, staying locally, and patronizing nearby businesses.

I call on the organizers of Hyrox to seriously consider bringing their thrilling event to Michigan. This addition to their event itinerary would not only fulfill a growing demand but also empower the Midwestern fitness community in unimaginable ways.
