As a Canadian crafter and small-business owner, I’m constantly seeing amazing craft supplies online that either aren’t available in Canada or cost way too much once shipping and import fees are added.

Canada has some craft stores, but our options are limited—especially for things like resin supplies, beads, molds, fabric, seasonal décor and other specialty materials. A lot of Canadian crafters end up ordering from the United States or searching multiple stores just to find what they need. For people running small handmade businesses, those extra costs add up quickly.

Bringing Hobby Lobby to Canada would give crafters, artists, teachers, parents and small-business owners access to a much larger selection of supplies at more affordable prices. It would also create Canadian jobs and give communities another place to shop for creative projects, classroom materials, home décor and seasonal items.

There is a huge crafting and DIY community in Canada, and we deserve more options without having to cross the border or pay ridiculous shipping fees.
