343 has officially responded to our petition! While this isn't the best of news, this doesn't mean that this journey is over. As long as the petition gathers continued support, signatures, and maintains a positive message, we believe 343 will continue to look into implementing these features, including a Steam release.

If you are unhappy with this stance from 343, please let them know! They are very open on Twitter. Engage in a positive dialogue and share with them why you may disagree with this decision.
