U.S. Bundesliga Fans Are Losing a Feature We Already Had

This request isn’t asking for an unprecedented new feature.

Under the previous U.S. broadcasting arrangement, ESPN+ provided full, on-demand Bundesliga match replays, and supporters could typically watch the complete match shortly after the live broadcast ended—often within an hour or two.

That flexibility was especially important for Bundesliga supporters in the United States, where weekend matches frequently kick off early in the morning.

Moving to a new broadcast partner should not mean taking a major step backward in accessibility.

If Fandango wants to become the new home of the Bundesliga in America, fans should receive at minimum the basic viewing flexibility they had under ESPN+: full-match replays available promptly after the final whistle.

For supporters who have spent years following Bundesliga clubs through ESPN+, losing on-demand replays isn’t a minor inconvenience. It fundamentally changes whether many American fans can watch their clubs at all.
