Recently, Sanitarium made a business decision to discontinue the production of Weetbix Hi-bran citing a lack of demand from consumers and stockists.

I liked Weetbix Hi-bran. It was my favourite cereal and I would eat three biscuits every second day. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one eating and enjoying Weetbix Hi-bran regularly.

I think the lack of demand was more due to fewer smaller supermarkets and shops deciding to have it on their shelves. It’s a self-defeating cycle: Lack of supply causes fewer sales leading to fewer orders leading to lack of supply.

If anyone else feels strongly enough, please vote for this petition. If we get enough votes someone in Sanatarium may decide to restart production.
