To CBS and the Big Brother production team:

We are asking CBS to bring back the old-school Big Brother nomination ceremony with the nomination wheel and individual keys being pulled and placed into the block.

For longtime Big Brother fans, the nomination ceremony used to be one of the most suspenseful and exciting parts of the week. Watching each Houseguest pull a key, seeing whose key was pulled first, who was left waiting, and who had to react as the ceremony unfolded created genuine tension and memorable television.

The current digital nomination process may be quicker, but many longtime fans feel that something special was lost when the nomination wheel disappeared.

We want to see the wheel spin. We want to see the keys pulled one by one. We want to see the strategic order of the keys. We want to see the reactions. We want those few extra moments of suspense before the nominees are revealed.

Those little moments became part of what made classic Big Brother feel like classic Big Brother.

This isn’t about changing the game or taking anything away from the current version of Big Brother. We simply want CBS to consider bringing back traditions that so many fans remember and miss.

And while we’re asking for the nomination wheel back, there are some other old-school elements we’d love to see more of again, including:

🥜 Food competitions — Earning food for the house. Yes, even the classic peanut butter and jelly!  

🏆 More luxury competitions — Give the Houseguests more chances to compete for fun prizes and experiences.

🇺🇸 More America’s Choice — Let the fans have a bigger voice in what happens inside the Big Brother house.

🚪Bring back the old eviction intros showing each evicted houseguest walking out of the house with their bag. The new eviction intros just aren’t the same, and a lot of longtime fans miss the old-school versions. 

🦉Bring back Big Brother After Dark, Orville the Owl absolutely deserves his own mention. 😂🦉 He was such a little piece of Big Brother history. Not everyone can watch the live feeds, and Big Brother After Dark gave those fans a way to experience the house on television. Being able to DVR those three hours and watch later made it accessible and exciting for people who couldn’t sit and watch feeds all day.

These things added personality, competition, entertainment, and interaction between the Houseguests and the fans. Sometimes it’s the little things that make a season memorable.

Even if it’s only for a special season, please bring back some of the traditions that made old-school Big Brother so much fun.

 Bring back the suspense. And let’s bring a little more old-school Big Brother back to the game.
