This much-loved event, which also benefited local businesses such as Marmalade Café, has been closed down by the owners of the Country Mart. Our community feels bereft of its weekly excitement and the local economy has taken a hit.

We must not ignore the positives this car show brought to our community. The presence of law enforcement at these shows ensured a safe environment for families and car enthusiasts alike. However, we understand the concerns voiced about irresponsible drivers with noisy vehicles. We propose stricter rules be applied towards the participation of vehicles, to maintain the peaceful atmosphere that was once characteristic of these shows.

We believe it is possible to reach a solution that pleases both the mart owners and the car fans. We miss the camaraderie, the display of intricate vehicles, and the significant revenue it brought to our local business community.
