For the past 2 seasons, the RuPaul’s Drag Race season finale has been filmed on the main stage with a smaller audience with no familiar faces. Prior to this, the finales took place in a large theatre with many past contestants and well known guests in the audience. 

The theatre showcased how widespread the love and excitement for drag is. It brought a sense of community and pride to the show. Hearing the audience’s cheers for the queens and the performances added so much value to the finales. The theatre also brought a level of class and elegance that is missing from the main stage finales. 

Filming on the main stage is dropping the quality of these finales immensely. Please sign this petition if you believe the finales should be filmed in a theatre again. Let MTV and RuPaul know the importance the theatre held for all of us viewers.
