In June 27th 2024 The Pokémon Company International changed the qualification method for the 2025 World Championship. For almost a decade, in order to qualify for the World Championship players had to reach a certain amount of Championship Points (CP), which is different for every category of players (Junior, Senior and Master) and for every Regional Area (Europe, North America, Latin America and Oceania). Asian countries always had another kind of circuit based on National Championship Tournaments.

For the upcoming season, tho, a certain amount of CP is not enough anymore -- you need to be in the top (x) players of your Regional Area and this (x) number of players might be different depending on your category or Regional Area.

Long story short, the majority of the community seems to dislike this new way to get the qualification, they would like to have the CP Bar back instead. We believe that The Pokémon Company International made what they thought was the best decision and many times, in the past, they listened our feedback. We wanted more prizes, and they gave us higher prizes; we asked for a new balancement of certain features of the game (such as the move Ally Switch) and Game Freak rebalanced those things. We'd just like to give our feedback once again, and see how many people in the community wants to get back to the CP Bar method.
