BRING BACK the Century Playground Soccer Goals

The Issue

For around a year (ever since ~June 17, 2024), the goals in Century Playground, Brighton Beach were taken away from the blue, concrete futsal field near the basketball courts. I believe this was due to maintenance issues, as the goal posts were in very poor condition before they were taken. Yet, this isn't the first time a part of the goals was seized away; as early as September 2023 (approximate), the nets that were attached to the goals were also removed, probably because they were also ripped, yet they were also never returned.
The kids in the park never liked any of these changes, and it impacts everyone that plays in this playground. Ever since our nets were taken away, it became very hard to get the ball back after a team scored a goal, especially if the ball starts bouncing from the fence behind the goalpost after a hard shot, that became dangerous. Now, as we got our goals removed, we suddenly needed a way to mark the scoring areas in the field. The way we did so is by placing trash cans in the greased spot that marks where the previous goals were; even so, the park members every once in a while take away the trash cans, and put them back into the park, which we ourselves have to bring back. We really don't like being deprived of these goals, and what makes it worse is how an identical soccer park near P.S. 90 (Neptune Park) still has its' goals in place, yet our park misses them.

Once we get our goals back, not only will it make playing games much safer and more enjoyable, it'll also be more appealing from the outside. I believe that it's very disappointing to see such a big futsal court lack its' goals, especially when trash cans are placed instead of them. Even so, the park recently had a famous Russian soccer player visit (Andrey Arshavin), and I also believe his game would've been better with a proper soccer net instead of garbage cans (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEgeWzUwWvM 15:23-21:23, Arshavin was even confused on the scoring area, saying "То, что у нас... вместо голов бочки, выше бочек гол не считается, правильно?" or "Since our goals are replaced by [trash] cans, then if the ball goes higher than them the goal doesn't count, right?").

I think that now is definitely the right time to act as it's already been more than a year ever since the park department took away our goals, and we really should start to petition now to let the park know we still want our goals back. I wrote a 311 complaint about half a year ago, but it was dismissed for some reason (just as for some reason, the court doesn't count as a soccer park in the 311 "Facilities" map). We really need our soccer goals back as it'll make games more fun, enjoyable, and safe for the kids in the playground and for the whole community.
