Before covid, South Australians were privileged to start our days with delicious breakfast burritos from Guzman y Gomez. These breakfast offerings became something we counted on, a comforting constant in the ever-turning world. However, since the Covid restrictions of March/April 2020 were introduced, the same beloved breakfast menu was cruelly taken down and it has not made a comeback in South Australia, although they did in other states.

As an avid fan and patron, I, like many other customers, eagerly awaited the return of the breakfast menus. Despite my persistent appeals via social media platforms such as Facebook, I have received only vague assurances that they're "working on it".

Just recently in a response to my question regarding reinstatement of the breakfast menu, their marketing team implied that their South Australia crew (and that implies allegedly the current owner of the OTR group), has shown no interest in reinstating our beloved morning routine.

This is a source of extreme disappointment as the breakfast menu served not just as mere food but was a nourishing morning ritual for so many of us.

We firmly believe that the reinstatement of the breakfast menu in South Australia will not only satiate our physical hunger but also boost the morale of the community togetherness.

Let us remind Guzman y Gomez that South Australians love their breakfast burritos and deserve to have it back!
