When it unexpectedly disappeared, we all felt like a lifeline had been snatched away. Like many users, I had come to rely on Sora 2 for its unique features and seamless integration into the OpenAI ecosystem.

Sora 2 stood out due to its user-friendly interface and powerful functionality. It was certainly misused to generate sloppy brainrot content for youtube, but for most users—it wasn't a brainrot video creator. It was a saviour which allowed small creators to polish their workflows, normal human beings to express their creativity, and allowed us to bring works of art, such as fanfics, to life. It wasn't just a tool; it was a vital partner that enabled countless individuals like me to be better. Losing it has disrupted not only my productivity but also that of a vibrant community of users who depended on its capabilities.

The removal of Sora 2 has also caused Disney to renege on their deal with OpenAI to remove copyright restrictions for Disney characters across OpenAI platforms. This means that OpenAI users will no longer have the prospects of being able to create images and videos and express their creativity with fan-favourite franchises and their characters, like Avatar, Marvel, Zootopia, Moana, and many more. 

We are calling on OpenAI to revive Sora 2. By bringing it back, they not only restore a beloved tool but also support professionals striving to achieve excellence in their work. We also ask OpenAI to integrate image generation into the Sora 2 platform, to allow better expression of creativity.
