Many of you know Sergeant Reter from times he either stopped and talked to you, times he would bring you safely back to campus, or times he would just help you in any way. He was always socializing and bonding with students and was always willing to help. 

Sergeant Reter was terminated due to him helping students off campus and transporting them back to campus. He was terminated just because he wanted to ensure that students safely got home. 

If we don’t get him hired back then things will continue to worsen on campus. The officers we have now do not care and support us the way he did. The officers we have now do not ensure that students all get home safely. The officers we have now do not take the time to bond with the students. 

Austin showed that he truly cared about the students everyday. And in return Washington & Lee terminated him for it
