Bring back sacred storage

The Issue

For over 20 years, I've trusted Yahoo Mail with my personal and professional communications, building a digital archive of records and memories. The recent change in Yahoo’s email storage policy from 1 terabytes to a mere 20 gigabytes threatens this invaluable collection, breaking the promise made to loyal users.

Yahoo provided a generous storage promise that accommodated vast amounts of data, allowing users like me to securely store emails, attachments, photos, and important documents. This was ideal for maintaining extensive records over the years, a promise that built my trust in Yahoo's services.

However, the sudden reduction to 20 gigabytes, without consideration for existing users' needs, jeopardizes all of my records stored over two decades. Such a drastic limitation feels like a betrayal to loyal users who relied on Yahoo's assurances and made it a cornerstone of their digital life.

At the very least, the new policy should honor a minimum of 1 terabyte of storage. This compromise would allow users to safeguard their archives without resorting to drastic measures like deleting or paying for additional storage. It shows respect for long-term users and preserves the integrity of our digital history.

I'm calling upon Yahoo to reconsider this policy change and reinstate at least 1 terabyte of free storage to honor the original agreement and trust bestowed by its longtime users.

Please join me in urging Yahoo to revert their decision by signing this petition. Let's ensure that the records of our past remain intact and accessible, reflecting the promises made when we chose Yahoo Mail as our trusted service.
