We are asking for your support in bringing back the Resident Assistant (RA) Council. This RA Council was a nominated council of RAs chosen to speak with high-level Residential Staff members to create solutions. This was the only time programmed into the job to give input to Residential Life. Resident Assistants were stripped of this elected body without any notice or input. We received word only after inquiring and were told that RA representatives would no longer be meeting with high-level staff members and would only meet on an area-by-area basis.

Why should you care about this council? The RA Council allowed for clarification of COVID guidelines for residents living in on-campus dorms during 2020 and 2021. The council helped in putting RAs on higher Residential Life committees. This council has tried to bring solutions and grievances to Residential Life staff members and we are hoping at the minimum to be given the chance to do so again.
