To: The Election Commission of India

We, the undersigned citizens and supporters of free and fair elections in India, call upon the Election Commission of India to restore the use of paper ballots for voting from the next Lok Sabha election onwards.

Elections are the foundation of our democracy. The electoral process must not only be fair and secure, but must also command the confidence of the people participating in it.

We believe that a paper-ballot system provides voters with a simple, physical and directly understandable method of recording their vote. Every citizen should be able to have confidence that their vote has been recorded and counted exactly as intended.

Our demand is straightforward:

Introduce paper-ballot voting for the next Lok Sabha election and establish transparent procedures for the secure handling, counting and auditing of those ballots.

This petition is not about supporting or opposing any particular political party. It is about strengthening public confidence in India's electoral process.

India is the world's largest democracy. The integrity and transparency of its elections should remain beyond doubt.

We therefore respectfully call upon the Election Commission of India to consider this demand and take the necessary steps to restore paper ballots from the next Lok Sabha election.

हम, इस याचिका पर हस्ताक्षर करने वाले भारत के नागरिक और स्वतंत्र एवं निष्पक्ष चुनाव के समर्थक, भारत निर्वाचन आयोग से आग्रह करते हैं कि अगले लोकसभा चुनाव से मतदान के लिए पेपर बैलेट (मतपत्र) की व्यवस्था पुनः लागू की जाए।

चुनाव हमारे लोकतंत्र की नींव हैं। चुनावी प्रक्रिया का केवल निष्पक्ष और सुरक्षित होना ही पर्याप्त नहीं है, बल्कि उसमें भाग लेने वाले नागरिकों का उस प्रक्रिया पर पूर्ण विश्वास होना भी आवश्यक है।

हमारा मानना है कि पेपर बैलेट प्रणाली मतदाताओं को अपना वोट दर्ज करने का एक सरल, भौतिक और सीधे समझ में आने वाला तरीका प्रदान करती है। प्रत्येक नागरिक को यह भरोसा होना चाहिए कि उसका वोट ठीक उसी प्रकार दर्ज और गिना गया है, जैसा उसने मतदान किया था।

हमारी माँग स्पष्ट है:
अगले लोकसभा चुनाव से पेपर बैलेट द्वारा मतदान की व्यवस्था लागू की जाए तथा मतपत्रों की सुरक्षित देखरेख, मतगणना और ऑडिट के लिए पूरी तरह पारदर्शी प्रक्रियाएँ स्थापित की जाएँ।

यह याचिका किसी विशेष राजनीतिक दल के समर्थन या विरोध के बारे में नहीं है। इसका उद्देश्य भारत की चुनावी प्रक्रिया में जनता के विश्वास को और मजबूत करना है।

भारत दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लोकतंत्र है। हमारे चुनावों की निष्पक्षता, पारदर्शिता और विश्वसनीयता संदेह से परे होनी चाहिए।

इसलिए हम भारत निर्वाचन आयोग से सम्मानपूर्वक आग्रह करते हैं कि वह इस माँग पर विचार करे और अगले लोकसभा चुनाव से पेपर बैलेट प्रणाली को पुनः लागू करने के लिए आवश्यक कदम उठाए।
