Bring back our ping pong tables

Bring back our ping pong tables
The Issue
We are seeking action to address the recent changes to the ping pong tables on JFK Drive, near the intersection of 8th ave and Fulton.
Rec and Park has forced the removal of community-led donations, which include extra tables, balls, and paddles. There were 3 tables before, with two funded by the community. To add insult to injury, players have less space than they need now. In fact, players in wheelchairs are now in the swinging zone of players on the other table. A new, vibrant community has less access than before.
We request three simple changes that cost nothing to bring back:
- Let us bring back our third table.
- Returning the play area to its original width.
- Improve the wind blocks.
This little stretch of the park breathes life into JFK - people of all walks of life enjoy it together - no matter their age, or the language they speak. Now, many are waiting on the sidelines, only because the park never included us in their plans.
