Bring Back Krishna Lunch!

Bring Back Krishna Lunch!
The Issue
After signing this petition below, leave us a quick personal testimony of how Krishna Lunch enhanced your University of Florida Experience on this Google Form: https://forms.gle/QAN9eqcbr7R2F8HA8
For over 50 years, Krishna Lunch has been at the heart of the University of Florida, serving nearly 3 million nutritious, affordable, home-cooked meals since 1971. This campus cornerstone was suspended following a transport vehicle accident on March 1, 2026. While campus safety is the highest priority, communication between the university and Krishna Lunch has stalled, leaving students and faculty without this vital resource.
We are ready for a safer, greener future. Krishna Lunch has arranged for a fleet of custom electric carts that are ready for deployment. These carts:
- Eliminate the need for transport trucks on inner campus walkways.
- Directly address safety concerns raised by the recent accident.
- Support UF’s sustainability goals through eco-friendly technology.
Our Demand: We, the undersigned, respectfully urge Brandi Renton, VP for Business Affairs, to reopen lines of communication with Krishna Lunch management. We ask the University to review these upgraded safety solutions and establish a timeline to safely restore this Gator tradition to the Plaza of the Americas.
