We, the loyal fans of the St. Louis Blues, are calling on the Blues organization, FanDuel TV, and 101 ESPN Radio to reinstate longtime broadcaster John Kelly as the television voice of Blues hockey.

For over 20 years, John Kelly has been more than just a play-by-play announcer — he’s been the trusted voice that’s guided us through every thrilling win, every heartbreaking loss, and our unforgettable Stanley Cup run in 2019. His deep knowledge, professionalism, and unmistakable connection to this team — as both a broadcaster and the son of the legendary Dan Kelly — make him irreplaceable.

The recent decision to eliminate his role in favor of a radio/TV simulcast is deeply disappointing. While we respect the talents of Chris Kerber and Joey Vitale, television and radio broadcasts are not the same — and John Kelly has consistently delivered a top-tier, fan-first experience that television viewers have come to rely on.

This isn’t just about nostalgia. It’s about maintaining the quality, personality, and history that define Blues hockey. John Kelly is part of the team’s identity, and removing him undermines the strong bond between the franchise and its fans.

We respectfully urge the St. Louis Blues and their broadcast partners to:

• Reverse the decision and bring back John Kelly as the television play-by-play announcer
• Maintain distinct broadcast teams for radio and television
• Publicly recognize the enormous value John Kelly brings to the fan experience
