Bring Back Gluten Free Rice Krispies to United States!

The Issue

Statement from Kelloggs:

"At Kellogg, we believe in the power of grains and the positive impact grains can have on health and the planet.  We also understand there are people who are trying to reduce gluten – either because of celiac disease or due to a diet choice.

Due to disappointing sales and manufacturing constraints, we are no longer able to make Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® Gluten Free cereal.  Kellogg’s Rice Krispies are made with malt, which comes from barley and may contain gluten; therefore, they are not labeled gluten free."

Gluten free Rice Krispies were released in the United States in 2011 and discontinued in 2015. Kelloggs continues to sell versions in Canada and Australia and the only way U.S. consumers can obtain it now is by spending $15+ USD on one box. Those with celiac disease, other inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, and other dietary intolerance illnesses (IBS, NCGS, WA), and those that just choose to eat gluten free should be able to have this option in the United States. By signing this petition you are supporting this notion and are asking for Kelloggs to find a way to sell Rice Krispies without malt in the United States once again.
