Bring back Dubsmash—The app we all miss!
Bring back Dubsmash—The app we all miss!
The Issue
Dubsmash was more than just an app; it was a vibrant community where dance enthusiasts, creators, and users from around the world could share their passion, creativity, and energy in a unique way. It gave people a place to express themselves through dance, lip-syncing, and creativity while connecting with others who shared the same interests.
When I first downloaded Dubsmash, it quickly became one of the most fun apps I had ever used. To me, it was even more enjoyable than TikTok because it felt different, simple, and welcoming. Dubsmash was a very kid-friendly platform where people could safely have fun, create videos, collaborate with others, and build friendships through shared creativity.
I personally used Dubsmash for dancing, creating videos, and going live when that feature became available. The app gave me a way to express myself and connect with other people who enjoyed the same things. When Dubsmash shut down, I was genuinely disappointed because there was nothing else that felt the same. In my opinion, TikTok and other platforms cannot fully replace what Dubsmash created.
Dubsmash had a special community that brought people together. It was a place where users could be creative without feeling pressured, and where many people made memories they still talk about today. Bringing Dubsmash back would give longtime users the opportunity to reconnect and allow new users to experience what made the app so special.
We are asking Reddit and its leadership to consider bringing Dubsmash back as a standalone app. The continued support from fans shows that there is still a community that wants Dubsmash to return.
