Bring Back classic Rovio games
Bring Back classic Rovio games
The Issue
This is a movement to reinstate classic Rovio games back into app stores.
The original Angry Birds game was released in 2009 by Rovio Entertainment, and sold over 12 million copies by October 2010. Its classic art style and gameplay made it explode with popularity, resulting in many spin-off games as well as three entire cinematic movies and many more shows.
Rovio, a company defined by Angry Birds, delisted the original game in April 2019. It was removed from Google Playstore on March 31, 2022 and was retitled as Red's First Flight on the iOS App Store.
Not only that, but Rovio also delisted many other games due to "technical difficulties." Tiny Thief was one of them, a mobile game that was created by 5 Ants and published by Rovio Stars, now known as Rovio Entertainment. It was removed from the app stores in most regions in February 2016.
Rovio ripped away antique masterpieces from our hands. Now it's time to get it back.
We are calling upon Rovio to bring back not only the original Angry Birds game, but many others like Tiny Thief, so people can enjoy these remarkable games again. By signing this petition, you are supporting not only the return of Angry Birds but every masterpiece that Rovio owes us.
A word about Tiny Thief: it was one of the few games that prioritized quality over quantity. It didn't rely on crappy tutorials and game mechanics paired with ads just so a mobile game development company could make a quick buck.
No, instead Tiny Thief focused on delivering an memorable and enjoyable experience, something that's diamonds in a coal mine like the mobile game industry.
Our mission:
- Bring back Angry Birds on all game stores, including Google Play and the iOS App Store.
- Bring back all classic games that Rovio removed from game stores, which includes Tiny Thief, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space and Angry Birds Go! just to name a few.
- Keep up the development of updates and content for amazing games like the above mentioned.
