Bring back Asperger's as a diagnosis

Bring back Asperger's as a diagnosis
The Issue
In 2013, the DSM-5 has removed Asperger's and has put in under 1 umbrella term: autism spectrum disorder. Years later, the next manual removed Asperger's completely.
This has impacted certain people with this diagnosis where their aspie identities have been removed as did their access to the appropriate services.
As for me, someone who was diagnosed with Asperger's, it really offended me.
It's common for people on the autism spectrum to be uncomfortable with change. Some have sensory processing disorder. I have both.
When I see the word, Autism Spectrum Disorder, I say, "AN autism spectrum disorder," and feel pain and discomfort.
Some neurotypicals have told me not to call my Asperger's, even though that's my diagnosis. And it also deeply offended me. The same has happened to others who call it that, which also offends me.
People with the symptoms of Asperger's are being diagnosed with ASD 1, where they might be given the same diagnosis as those who have more limitations, even if there aren't too many, or delayed speech. The Asperger's diagnosis was given to those who did not have delayed speech. It might have been one of the few differences, but it's a major one.
It's possible that someone diagnosed with ASD 1 could meet someone with the same symptoms and functioning level, but the other person's diagnosis is Asperger's. The person diagnosed with ASD 1 might be able to relate to the one diagnosed with Asperger's and could find their diagnosis unsatisfactory.
There are still lots of people on this planet who were already diagnosed with Asperger's, including some friends of mine. My friends with the Asperger's diagnosis still call it that.
Bringing it back will satisfy me and possibly others who disliked its removal from the DSM-5. It would also be nice to let those diagnosed with ASD 1 have the choice to be re diagnosed with Asperger's.
I also think it is important for the public as well as future generations to know about the Asperger's diagnosis.
