Arena was added to Sea of Thieves on April 30th, 2019, as part of the Anniversary Update. From its inception, it offered players a thrilling new way to engage with the game, especially for those who were passionate about Player vs. Player (PvP) combat. It wasn't just another game mode; it was a vibrant hub of competitive spirit, strategy, and adrenaline. Many players flocked to the Arena to experience Sea of Thieves in a unique light. Sadly, on March 10, 2022, Arena was removed, leaving a significant void in the gaming experience for countless fans and enthusiasts.

The removal of Arena was more than just a subtraction; it felt like losing a cherished part of the game. It represented a gathering place for PvP aficionados to test their mettle and engage in thrilling naval battles. For many, including me, it was a cornerstone of what made Sea of Thieves exciting and unpredictable.

Reintroducing the Arena mode would not only revive these cherished experiences but also breathe new life into the Sea of Thieves community. It could foster an atmosphere where old and new players alike can enjoy the rich and competitive aspects of the game. Moreover, having a dedicated PvP mode could reduce unwanted PvP in the main adventure, leading to a more balanced and satisfying experience for those who prefer cooperative gameplay.

Re-implementing Arena would show Rare's commitment to their community's diverse interests, encouraging both competitive and cooperative love for the seas. Given its previous popularity, a renewed Arena can bring back lapsed players, attract new ones, and enhance the overall game ecosystem. Not only would adding Arena back be exciting for most players, but if they could add more game modes within the Arena, it could grow the potential for people to engage in the different types of ways Arena was played for different people. Adding a TDM  mode, an old Arena mode and maybe an Anchora mode would bring upon more players to be interested in Arena.

I'm calling on Rare Ltd, the developers of Sea of Thieves, to listen to the voices of the community and consider bringing back Arena mode for the benefit of all players. Join me in making our voices heard. Please sign the petition and help bring back the battles we loved!
